A bath is fine with her. Being blown dry with a table fan on the floor is also fine. But not when she is confined in the cage.
Kenggy does not squeal or meow like a normal cat. Her voice is low, husky and sexy. It goes something like aarroowl or wowrrll.
EJ has to cage her to get her dry. Not happy, Kenggy stood up howling loudly at EJ.
Momentarily she was distracted by her nosey buddies.
She thought there was an escape hole under that mat and proceeded to pull the mat away.
Though her facial expression could not be seen here, her body showed complete utter disappointment that after so much effort, there was no escape hole.
It took her a long while, considering her handicap, to get to this stage which by then she was almost dry.
EJ let her out and she waddled happily off.

well, she needs that.
lalalala so cute making face like that hehehehe!
*I guess no cats like to be caged - we are going back for raya... very confusing... if we have to put them at the boarding - they will be caged for more than a week! BUT if we have to take them for raya, it will be difficult because this raya we are going back to Singapore :? Nobodu could look after them if we leave them at home... :(
maybe she is restless.. :)

Hewwo...thank you for dropping by. You're so cute, Kenggy. Glad you had the blowdrying business out of the way soon enough.
Hahaha ! what a cute series of pictures ! poor baby though !
Since I am blogging I learned that people bath their cats. I had never heard about that over here in Europe. My vet says it's not good for them because they loose the protective grease on their skin.
I had to bath Arthur once because instead of being white he was black and full of oil, he had worked under a car !
Poor thing! Au had a bath about 2 years ago after he fell into the storm drain, and Target has never had a bath. Like Gattina, we think soap damages fur, so baths are only last resorts.
Well I don't blame her..some are generally better than dogs when confined, but a cage is tight..what a big puddy! I love the two -(below post) precious! Our old grey is grumpy to the other cats but gets along better (can get testy) with the dog (and previous Rottie)..he almost always has his tongue sticking out (lol)-
I think an occasional bath for long haired cats a good idea but drying with the hair dryer very stressful. I use special cat shampoo and conditioner and when I am brave enough to bath Charlotte and Emily will try your drying method.
Kenggy is a beautiful girl; a determined little sweetheart!...Glad her bath and dry is over; we've never had a bath with water!!...Happy week, sweet friends...kisses...Calle, Halle, Sukki
Poor puss! I hope she soon recovered her composure.
Poor sweet friend. I need to say that I never take a bath.I do it myself.
I'm sending good energies and love for her!

Lovely Kenggy!!!!!! What a cutie and what a very determined little soul!! Bless her!! She looks utterly adorable!! Me and Charlie are so happy to see her out of her cage now, all washed and dried!

LOL..very lovely story and the last photo made me laugh : ) Thank you EJ, you made my day
Poor Kenggy! But they need their occasional baths.
Kenggy, it seems you don't enjoy bath time. I know your fur must have looked so pretty after it was all over. You will probably run and hide next time.
We have never had a bath "IN WATER WITH SOAP" - our tongues are bestest at getting us clean. Besides if mum tried to bath us she would have no hands left!!
Kenggy, at least you are all clean and dry too now. Good job trying to find an escape hole. Too bad it didn't work. Try to stay clean, so no more baths.
Have a great day.
We need a David Copperfield intervention. There's always an escape hole when you're a magician!
LOL! We'd protest too, if we were confined to a cage to be dried. :-)
Mind you, none of us has had a bath before! And our human hopes we never need one, because she's not going to try to do it--and lose a limb. Heh.
Awwww...Kenggy, you look so cute and I'm glad you "waddled happily off" when it was over.
Oah, poor Kenggy! Hope it lasts not to long to get dry! We hate a bath too but fortunately our humans never had to bath us...we do it all by ourself.
She is so beautiful
Poor kitty. It's good for her to get her bath and drying, but it must be a distressing experience. At least it's over relatively quickly - and she's nice and clean afterwards.
Kenggy, have you ever heard the expression "Out of the frying pan & into the fire" or, and even better expression "Adding insult to injury" Not only did your human bathe you, but then she made you sit in a cage to dry!! No Fun!!! We hope it didn't take too long for you to dry!!

I liked lend a shoulder post very much. :)
I know it must be hard to have to confine her to get her dry and to see her reaction...even though it's a must do thing it still must tear at your heart strings.
Sometimes we wish we could communicate to them in a language that they understood why something is happening to them.

cute cat and photo's :)
Poor Kenggy! It sounds like a very unpleasant experience for her, though she is probably all clean and fluffy now.
I wouldn't even think of giving either of my two a bath. I'd be shredded...
Beautiful photos...........
Hehehehe - She looks like a bunny!!
Wow !
Questa storia della gabbia a me non piace !!!
