Manumitted

The slave's heart sank when peeping through the window at Winnie and saw this.
It cut such a poignant and forlorn picture.
Winnie breathed her last on Friday afternoon and was sent for cremation the next day.
Now the house seems so very quiet; the slave still check the MeowRoom and MeowYard out of habit.
'The Chair'/EJ will take a short break before continuing blogging as there are still many untold stories.
Future tales will be posted under suitable blog hops.
'The Chair'/EJ is touched and grateful for all the warm prayers, kind thoughts and concern.

Ohhh... somehow, I had sensed the imminence of Win's departure in the last couple of posts, but it does not lessen the effect of reading this news. My heart goes to EJ (and, of course, you, 'Chair'). With Love and remembrance. YAM xx

We are sorry to read this, as we had come to love Winnie too. But that picture seems to give a hint that (as an animal communicator told me when my Calico Buddy was losing her battle with CKD at age 19)she "was ready to go on to her next adventure." We purray your many memories to bring you comfort.

leaving us means an empty space in the heart. We have shared your image, in your memory, on The Cat Blogosphere.

I didn't know Winnie, but I know the heartache of losing a beloved cat. There is only one of each of them, and Winnie was unique. There will be none of her like again. Godspeed, Winnie.

I shall add dearest Winnie to my prayer vigil for Valentine. 7 weeks is the Buddhist way, after that her essence will have left for a rebirth or Nirvana. Thank you for sharing Winniw with us all, may our prayers and your memories help you move on.
Gentle purrs

I am sorry for your loss. It's heartbreaking watching a beloved pet wither away. I would have fed my soulmate kitty Luna like a baby bird if it would have kept her here. She didn't want to go. :( And I'm sure Winnie didn't, either. ~hugs~
