Facing El Niño for weeks plus the haze, a long heavy downpour one day last week was a welcome sight! Though improved slightly, the haze stayed.
Taking this opportunity, our human decided to go for the morning walk...
...and got caught in this ridiculously laughable situation.
The path changed after the downpour. Could not turn back with mud getting stuck to the shoes, our human lumbered uphill ungracefully.
And collected even more mud going downhill.
The shoes felt like it weighed a ton.
When showed these photos to our human's brother, he teasingly commented that if our human train like this daily, soon our human could walk on water like those in Chinese Kungfu movies.
When it rained a few days later though not heavy, our human chose to walk a different route.
PS: Our human will not wear those shoes to walk as the soles have started to detach.

Oh my, that is a heavy load. Mrs H has had that very thing happen but with wellingtons, and they have been sucked off, or so heavy she has had to stop, take them off, and beat them on the ground.
Hopefully the rain and where you next walk will not be so sticky and muddy.

THTAT is awful! At least I haven't has that happen. El Niño has cause weeks of very much higher temps and the humidity is the unbearable part! Oh, it's bad.
WOW! That is a lot of mud. XO
Dang, I bet those were feeling really heavy!
Whoa! We bet your humans shoes were extra heavy with all that mud!
The mud buildup was trying to make you work harder with each step! Wow, so think and sticky! UGH!!!

Oh my! I have had that happen to me on occasion... one can magine what it's like to have cement boots on! YAM xx
Sometimes you do not know a path has become unsafe until you walk it again. I hope there are enough other choices to keep the walks from becoming boring.
