We are now in monsoon season where we experience heavy rainfall and strong winds till early next year.
When it did not rain, during early morning walks on the path, fallen tree trunks, broken branches, twigs and leaves were seen.
Added to this, the start of the walk was cleared for development.
The flimsy tarp that was home for the strays were bulldozed. Some good samaritans have put up another tarp farther in nearer the forest reserve.
The strays still wander to the old place to laze and rest.

The bad weather is here in the UK, too. And development always seems to force relocation of nature and the local inhabitants. I do hope they do well in their new area, and stay safe and sound. Your walks be be less attractive with that site there, hopefully you can walk around to the nicer bits and walk further too.

I second Erin's comment! YAM xx
It should be autumn here, yet we still have "bursts of warm summer days", confusing the trees: some turnings, others not. And far too dry. Seems as though weather patterns are not predictable anywhere now, and yes: habitat is being destroyed everywhere not just for ferals, but for so many animals.
For me, the strays are always such a concern. I wish I had a magic wand and could make everything for them alright.
Blessings on the people still helping the strays !
I am glad someone set up shelter for them elsewhere. It breaks my heart when dogs and cats are homeless. XO
I hope they'll be ok :(
I hope the strays are all safe in their new area.
That's so sad that the strays area got bulldozed. We hope they will be safe in their new space. XO
We used to say our swamps have two seasons, wet and hurricane (or summer and February), but now, it's hard to tell.
How I wish we could learn to live with nature more easily.
