Who Done It?

EJ was surprised to see loose sisal ropes hanging from the kitty boardwalk. The sisal rope used is very long and there is no joining at that point.

The kitties could not possibly use a knife or scissors. So what happened? And who did it?

A few days later, EJ happened to walk past the meowroom door and saw this. The culprit at work chewing and clawing the rope.

Well, EJ is wondering what to do on how best to mend or change it and appreciate suggestions.

Oh my, we wouldn't know what to do to fix it but we have seen some posts on how to repair those...but of course we don't remember where.

Uh oh... 'fraid I am a bit short on suggestions for repair also; unless you can access some excess from a boatyard or some such. Clearly it is a well-loved activity, so consider this a positive! Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx

The only thing I know to do is to cut that off and try to find some new sisal and put it around it. But not sure how to make it stay there. What a silly kitty. You all have a great day.

There are lots of videos on the internet. Maybe this one will help.

Maybe you could cut that section off, gluing the ends onto the wood. Then wrap new sisal around the exposed area. Would that work?

I don't have a clue about such a repair job. They can be little Destructo maniacs, for sure.

I wish you luck getting it all back to normal again. Seems like we are always cleaning up some sort of a mess by these little darlings.

All the best for a fun weekend to all of you!!
