Living together harmoniously in the same house, our human put importance on warmth and love, give and take, at rest, in play as well as meal times.
For breakfast, each cat has their own share of kibbles in their own bowls. 'Tea' is wet food, either chicken or fish, in the evening, also in their own bowls.
A short while later would be dinner. Dinner is different. The cats share eating out from two bowls, at times from one bowl. From this, they learn patience and tolerance.
The hierarchical structure here is noticeable. The oldest, Tanya, the matriarch, eats first while the rest wait patiently for their turn.
And EJ loves them all for their patience, tolerance and love.

I once had a wonderful cat named Herman. My sister decided to buy him a kitten for his second birthday, and, being obedient, he listed when I said, "Let the kitten eat first." Herman grew to be a tall, muscular, adventuresome but sweet and loving cat. The kitten grew to be very, very fat.
I enjoyed this photo of your cats, EJ, because it reminded me of my darling Herman and his kitten Ava, whom he continued to protect and defend for the rest of his life.

Awwwww! You are all good and wonderful kitties!! Enjoy your noms! Take care

That is just plain amazing. I am lucky to get the kitties here to eat out of their own bowls and not steal someone else's food. Tanya, did a good job training all of them. Have a wonderful Sunday.

A sweet and meaningful post this Sunday - blessings to you all!
Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
How wonderful to see the family all gathered together there and to know what their day is like and how they eat and what they get. It is of interest to the rest of we kitties who are always inquisitive. xoxox
That is such wonderful cooperation from all of you and you deserve all the yummy stuff!
There's no structure like that here. We call just eat...of course, we have our own bowls. We wonder if what would happen if we only had one bowl to share.
We each have our own stinky goodness bowls but share one bowl for dry noms. We share one water bowl and sometimes drink together at it.

We each have our two own bowls, one for the wet stinky food, and one for the dry noms. We share one bowl with fresh water. We love your respectful attitude and your discipline ! Purrs
What a beautiful sight. We each have our bowls and we usually only eat from our own bowls...USUALLY. ;)
We don't think that would happen here. There would be a big fight.
They sure do look like a patient crew. We try to be patient but sometimes one of us will get a mite bit impatient.
That's wonderful. It's so nice that you are all so thoughtful and patient at mealtime. :)
We love this picture. You all show great restraint at mealtime.
great family photo!
Hmmm... At my house, a certain Auntie of mine sometimes pushes me away from my dish. She does it nicely, though. Well, as nicely as one can do somethin' that rude.

That's a great picture. It's really interesting to see how Tanya is at top of the hierarchy. Lucy was the same way. All in all, the kitties seem to be pretty good companions in their loving home.
Aww that's just lovely. Its so good when that happens. Hugs GJ x
We're kinda impressed you can deal with eating out of a single bowl. Around here, everyone gets their own bowl, they always have the same stuff in every bowl, and there is still a lot of pushing and shoving as kitties keep changing bowls.
I think humans could learn a lot from kitties!
xo Catherine
That is so nice :)
We eat from our own bowls too,
but we only have breakfast and supper.

Good to see the Matriarch gets the respect she deserves.
Wow, we could learn a LOT from the Matriarch!
