Stretch and Scratch

The human body releases endorphins, the body's natural 'feel good' hormones during stress and as a response to pain. Endorphins is released during activities like exercise and in some like shopping or gambling which may result in additive behaviour.

Cats, too, release endorphins, which make them feel good, by stretching and scratching.

And Tanya here shows how.

First, you get into the right position.

Then, you stretch and scratch.

  1. Tanya has got just the right actions - we love to stretch our backs when we have a scratch too. Don't tell our Mum we scratch we think she may not have noticed (claws crossed!!)
