Spanning 4 generations from the lady who introduced me to her household and placed in the high traffic
most-loved area in the dining hall, I have heard conversations, differences and whispers on world affairs
to traditions to hand-me-down secret recipes. There are many tales to tell - for the benefit of her grand
children and great grands.

Dangerous Dreaming!
It's Sunday!
Tanya has many sleeping positions, mostly funny, some ridiculous and occasionally dangerous like this.
Once, few years ago, she slept dangerously and fell off EJ's bed. EJ managed to snap a few shots then and will try to locate them.
Tanya, mommy occasionally disturbs me !!!!!! when I am hanging off something like that. Most times though she doesn't see it until the thump of me hitting the floor happens.
My Ninja is an 8-year-old Maine coon cat. She is brave and loves to sneak up on people. And she loves lemongrass!
She loves to eat it and, when the leaves are trimmed off, she makes a nest of it. George and Pat, our other two cats, also like to nibble on it.
I'm told cats hate citrus, so why do they like lemongrass? I've also been told that lemongrass is safe for cats to eat. Is this true? I have several large pots for cooking, and they have to be indoors for the winter.

DF: First, all things in moderation. Sprout some wheatgrass, alfalfa and catnip so your cats can graze.
Lemongrass has a host of beneficial ingredients that are antibacterial, antifungal, anti-parasitic, antiseptic, diuretic, cooling, sedating and helpful with digestion. Lemongrass can help prevent blood clotting and cancer. Externally (as a strong tea), it will act as an insect repellent and clear up athlete's foot.
Tanya, you look like you're going to slowly slide off that chair, for sure. Did that happen? :-D
ReplyDeleteYou are one silly kitty Tanya. I hope you didn't fall off the chair and wake up abruptly. Hope all of you have a great Sunday.

ReplyDeleteLooks like Tanya has had a little bit too much to drink..you may want to park on a bigger chair when that happens :)
