Tanya would like to thank you all for the comforting and healing purrs. She is recovering well.
To separate Tanya from the rest of the cats, Tanya is allowed to roam the entire house while the other cats are confined to the meowroom and meowyard. This is to prevent other cats from licking her stitches and as well playing games like 'catch me if you can'.
This will be the arrangement till end of next week when the stitches are scheduled to be removed.
Tanya is adjusting well to the translucent E-collar with funny results.
EJ laughs each time Tanya walks slowly, swaying slightly and crouching lower than normal which resulted in her floppy belly almost touching the floor. Each time Tanya tries to lick clean herself, she ends up cleaning her E-collar. The pictures are blur because of her bobbing up and down movement.
Somehow the E-collar makes Tanya look like she is wearing a violet-coloured bonnet. And looks rather cute, don't you think?
We are so glad Tanya's surgery was successful and we will purr loudly for her easy recovery...She looks beautiful with her purple bonnet on :)...She is so lucky to have such a loving home and family to care so sweetly for her...kisses and love, wonderful friends...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteI think that last picture is just about the cutest thing I've ever seen. Tanya is so sweet in her purple bonnet.

Tanya, we're glad you're healing well and that you haven't somehow managed to rip the collar to shreds as we like to think we'd do. MOL.
ReplyDeleteThat purple collar shows off thos lovely white whiskers to purrfection Tanya. It won't be too long until you can manage without it.
ReplyDeleteI am happy to hear that Tanya is healing up nicely and that the collar is not causing too much distress. We send purrs to you sweet Tanya!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Tanya, we are happy you are doing so well......we continue to purray for you. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteThe last picture of Tanya is just adorable. She does look like she is wearing a pretty little bonnet.
ReplyDeleteWe are so glad that she is recovering nicely. Does she have a hard time eating with the collar on? I can remember some of mine who had to wear collars through the years couldn't so I fed them out of my hand.
Oh Tanya
ReplyDeleteYou are such a beauty and as horrible as it is to wear that collar, it reminds me of a lady bean wearing high heels. She wears them to look good even though they hurt her feet. That purple collar is very appealing on you -- we dare say it's your color!
But we know it would make you feel so much better to be rid of it.
Soon Tanya.
We are purrin
Abby

Hi,
Buona giornata :)
Igor ( e mamma )
Get well soon, Tanya! Yup, Pixel slinks around too when his whiskers are obstructed by the darned cone. Messes with his equilibrium and he loons like a drunkard.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon!
