The Opposite

Living on opposite sides of the globe, EJ and brother experience life differently.

Weather is different too. EJ copes with the tropical heat with once a year rainy monsoon while brother braves the four seasons.

EJ feels year end is worse for both as it is the monsoon season with torrential rain for EJ and heavy snowfall for brother.

There is an air of festivity to brother's house with the front beautifully decorated with Christmas and New Year lights. The road on the foreground is completely covered with snow.

Backyard is lighted up too. It is too cold even for desperate squirrels to visit.

In contrast, the only air of festivity in EJ's house is the tinsel-wrapped one leg of the dining table! To see the picture, please click here.

This is the cats' eye view of EJ's postage stamp sized garden after heavy rain...

...and the covered tiny backyard where the cats lounge even when it rains.

The tiny garden is so green and pretty.
We didn't decorate this year, the house is in to much of a torn up state as we work on redoing the kitchen and etc. Kenngy is about as round and robust as my Peanut.

Yes, your brother's house looks festive, but your house is special. So special. Not just because you covered part of the yard for the cats, but because you are a special person, EJ. Your cats would tell you that.

EJ, For me, Your garden is more attractive !
I can imagine myself run and jump in there ( when the rain stop pouring ) I might can catch some frogs or some tiny bugs underneath those little plants. It's so much FUN ! then I can give one of them for you as a gift : )

The best place is where the love and care is !

I love that garden and I also love your special cat lounge at the back! Not all our cats get along so well. How do you do that?

We live in Canada...We think we prefer your little GREEN garden. Though EJ's brother's house looked very festive! :-)

Isn't it amazing how our perceptions are based on what we are use to and what we know...
what a great reminder for all species!

But the best of course are gorgeous Winnie, Pebble, Tommy Captain Jack Sparrow Hawk and Cinders lounging in the backyard whatever the weather!!! Take care

That green garden is beautiful even if it is small ~ since it has no snow! :) I think a covered backyard would be great!

Happy Tuesday!

Mommy and I think that both homes look very inviting and I'd love to pounce in the tiny garden or sniff the snow.

I love the contrast of the two different living areas. Both are beautiful in their own seasonal way.

The garden is so lush and green...lovely to see when all is white/gray here in Michigan at this time of year.

We are stuck in the middle where we live...we get the cold, but no snow and we get the rain, but it's too cold to still be green in our garden. So our kitties just pretend my bed is the cat lounge lol and stay there all day. Happy COT!

One wrapped table leg, huh? All your blog followers will probably send you decorations!

Mommy says no snow is the key to a long life! We think your green garden looks like kitty paradise, rain or no rain.

Rainy and cold no doubt! Here it is plain cold at night and sunny and hot during the day. Both times the dogs are asleep. So much for senior dogs.

The covered backyard looks comfy but where is Kenggy and Tanya sleeping? In EJ's bed, no doubt! Haha!

Merry Meowsy 2011 team EJ!

Yes, Keeper is right. It is hot and cold here. No snow. No quiet. It is days after new year but kids are still lighting firecrackers! I am glad the Team EJ cats are relazed at the lounge!
