Working the Garden

The cats were freaking out the past few days. The neighbours' children were firing loud crackers and fireworks randomly and at odd hours. EJ stayed indoors most of the time with windows and door almost closed.

EJ knew it would be quiet today, the day of the festival celebration of Aidilfitri, as all of them would be leaving for their respective hometown.

It would be the best time to work in the garden. The garden dividing wall really do need a paint. Weather cooperated beautifully this morning. It was cool with the sun behind the glooming clouds.

As soon as the last of the neighbours' car left, EJ started scrubbing, scraping and washing the old paint off the wall. It took over two hours and EJ stopped when a slight twinge on the back was felt.

EJ plans to start painting first thing tomorrow morning, repotting and rearranging the plants in the garden the following days before the neighbours come back.

Good luck to EJ with his garden project; that is a lot of work, but it will be beautiful when it's finished...We don't like fireworks either, we hide under the bed...Happy Friday, sweet friends...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki

Sounds like HARD work. You need cats to give you a paw.

Au and Target: Yes, received so many paw help when I tried paint the cat yard which is at least 4 times the size of the garden wall that after so many days of painting, I managed only a tenth of it! LOL! Taking a break to do the garden first!

Poor cats ! Mine have a hard time at New Year's Eve ! Especially Arthur is scared and disappears in a wardrobe or under a bed !

Wish you a lot of courage to paint your wall ! I hope you show us the result !

Poor kitties ... ours don't like fireworks and loud noises, either.

We are so glad to have met you. Now we can tell our friends we have a unique friend.
Your cats are adorable, we have to admit...we do have a few cat-pals and we hope to make many more.In real life none seems to wanna play with us, they just sit on our wall and stare at us!!

Sorry about the fireworks. Wow, I'm very impressed with all the work EJ is doing in the yard. She really has her work cut out for her! I hope the kitties are all doing well and the work gets finished before the neighbors return. I think I see how EJ is spending her weekend.
